We Started
The executive team that founded TECHcelerate observed over
the course of time that most Oracle® consultants were so specialized
in a particular area of expertise they were unable to effectively
participate in many of the cross functional business process decisions
that are involved with implementing and maintaining the Oracle system.
These limitations manifested themselves by burdening companies with
inflated costs since it took more consultants to achieve the desired
results.
Recognizing this opportunity, TECHcelerate executives decided
to establish a company comprised of consultants proficient at transcending
the functional and technical divide thereby providing clients with
a more versatile resource capable of delivering greater value at
a lower price point. TECHcelerate
consultants are at ease interpreting requirements from both the
IT and user communities and delivering creative solutions to challenging
business requirements within a compressed timeframe. Our unique
ability to accomplish more with less for our clients enables us
to earn and retain our customers' confidence and establish meaningful
partnerships with our customers.
TECHcelerate's senior management team brings the compelling
advantage of 80+ years of combined experience in the software services
industry to its clientele. The team benefits from an extensive reference
base having been a valued partner to more than 100 Oracle® clients
throughout the New England region since 1996. The team is comprised
of Tom Dolan, Bess Smith, Steve Bauer and Ashok Mehta.

Tom brings more than 25 years of software product sales and services
experience to TECHcelerate. Previously, Tom was Vice President
of Business Development at The OASYS Group, where he was responsible
for new account sales and ensuring the ongoing success of the firm's
partnership with Oracle, which he was integral in establishing in
1996. Looking ahead, Tom's goals are to ensure that TECHcelerate's
reputation for quality service and timely delivery is unsurpassed
within the industry and to build upon the long-standing partnership
that exists with Oracle. Tom is a graduate of Clark University in
Worcester, MA.
Bess has 25 years experience in the manufacturing and financial
software industry. Previously, Bess was Vice President of Consulting
Sales at The OASYS Group where she designed and developed strategic
plans for clients implementing the Oracle system, both domestically
and internationally. In addition to her responsibilities as Vice
President, Bess assumed the role of Executive Sponsor on selected
projects, becoming actively involved in the management and facilitation
of key business issues impacting the implementation process. Previously,
Bess held a position as an Oracle Sales Consultant specializing
in the Oracle Financial and Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
applications. She has achieved her certification from the "American
Production and Inventory Control Society" (APICS) and is a graduate
of Northeastern University.
Steve has 30 years experience in a variety of manufacturing management
and information technology roles. Before joining TECHcelerate,
Steve was Director of Consulting Services and Senior Consultant
at The OASYS Group. He has extensive experience with Oracle Applications,
initially as a functional consultant specializing in Manufacturing
products (BOM, Inventory, WIP, Planning, Purchasing) then as a developer
of technical solutions throughout the ERP suite. Steve's experience
spans more than 40 clients in industries from capital equipment
manufacturers to process manufacturing to high technology assemblers;
from vertically integrated manufacturing to outsource procurement
models. Prior to his consulting experience, Steve had over 20 years
of hands-on Manufacturing management experience in roles from Material
Planner to Director of Information Systems to VP of Operations at
a variety of companies from General Electric to technology start-ups.
Steve has BSEE and BA Economics degrees from Union College and an
MBA from Northeastern University.
Ashok has over 15 years of experience in various Oracle technology
environments. Ashok was Manager of Technical Services and a Senior
Technical Consultant at The OASYS Group. Prior to that Ashok was
the MIS Manager at Geerlings and Wade, managing their Oracle systems.
Ashok has extensive experience in Oracle Applications and the associated
Oracle Development tools and Database Technologies, Installations,
Extensions and Customizations to Oracle Applications ERP and CRM
modules. Ashok has a BS Physics, an MBA Marketing and an MS Information
Systems. Ashok is also an OCP (Oracle Certified Professional) DBA.
